Multi-Residency
Program
The key feature of the Multi-Residency program is the opportunity for artists to create, collaborate, and explore different artistic spaces throughout the city during their residency.
During the Multi-Residency program, artists will initiate their projects in the selected studios within the R.A.R.O. network. These studios specialize in various techniques, enabling participants to delve deeper into the technical aspects of their work and establish the foundational elements of their projects.
This process also provides the chance to explore diverse artistic production spaces in Barcelona while sharing their projects and building connections with local artists, curators, and other stakeholders within the city's artistic and cultural landscape. In the final phase of the residency, artists will gather at Casa R.A.R.O., where they will share a creative space with fellow residents and benefit from the guidance and curatorial support of the entire team in preparation for the Open Studio event. This collaboration enables the project to be successfully completed.
Within the R.A.R.O. network, artists will encounter a wide array of artistic techniques, ranging from traditional practices such as painting, sculpture, and printmaking to contemporary forms including new media, video art, installation, and performance.
The Multi-Residency Program serves as a platform to connect residents with both local and international artists, fostering their artistic development and professional growth.
IMPORTANT: Multi-Residency means one or two studios of your choice (depending on the duration of the residency) and at least two weeks at Casa R.A.R.O.

ECHO ESCUELA TALLER
The space is focused on textile craft techniques. It encompasses tools and materials to work techniques such as tufting gun, high warp tapestry, macramé, punch needle, crochet, embroidery, and others. In addition, we have courses and workshops to specialize in or try different techniques.

TALLER TERANYINA
Teranyina is a space where students of different textile techniques converge with artisanal processes, such as low-warp hand weaving, high-warp tapestry, natural dyes, felting, shibori, among others. They apply these ancestral techniques to the field of design craftsmanship or contemporary art according to their interests. It also has a small space dedicated to the sale of small-scale fabric productions and artworks.

TURBOT DESIGN
Turbot Design consists of four professional ceramists, each developing their personal artistic project using their own knowledge, materials, and techniques. The space works with lathes, plaster molds, hand modeling, and various types of low- and high-temperature clay.

JULIETA DENTONE CERAMIC STUDIO
The space is equipped with work tables, a ceramic laminator, a potter’s wheel (lathe), various tools and materials, a kiln, and internet access. It also provides advice and support to artists and designers who want to learn and work with ceramics, helping them integrate it into their current artistic projects.

LA MALDITA ESTAMPA
The space is dedicated to collaborative art and provides creative environments where each artist shares their knowledge, experiences, and creative processes. The aim is to generate synergies as the fundamental characteristic of our joint mode of work and creation. Printmaking is an artistic discipline with infinite expressive possibilities that evolves continuously.

The space has machinery to work on plates/screens, a printing area with a 160x80 cm Ribes press, and a resin machine and tanks with mordants for different metals.

Located in the vibrant heart of Poblenou, this shared art studio serves as a dynamic hub for creativity and innovation. Ite hosts a diverse range of contemporary artistic practices, from painting and sculpture with special focus on installation, site-specific, and mixed-media approaches.

MIREIA Y SUS COSAS
The workshop Mireia y sus cosas is a space shared by three people involved in art. The main techniques are painting and photography. It also includes a set area with seamless backgrounds and spotlights.
