Program
The key feature of the Multi-Residency program is the opportunity for artists to create, collaborate, and explore different artistic spaces throughout the city during their residency.
During the Multi-Residency program, artists will initiate their projects in the selected studios within the R.A.R.O. network. These studios specialize in various techniques, enabling participants to delve deeper into the technical aspects of their work and establish the foundational elements of their projects. This process also provides the chance to explore diverse artistic production spaces in Barcelona while sharing their projects and building connections with local artists, curators, and other stakeholders within the city's artistic and cultural landscape. In the final phase of the residency, artists will gather at Casa R.A.R.O., where they will share a creative space with fellow residents and benefit from the guidance and curatorial support of the entire team in preparation for the Open Studio event. This collaboration allows for successful project culmination.
Within the R.A.R.O. network, artists will encounter a wide array of artistic techniques, ranging from traditional practices such as painting, sculpture, and printmaking to contemporary forms including new media, video art, installation, and performance.
The Multi-Residency Program serves as a platform to connect residents with both local and international artists, fostering their artistic development and professional growth.
REMEMBER: Multi-Residency equals one or two studios of your choice (depending on the duration of the residency) plus a minimum of two weeks at Casa R.A.R.O.

STUDIOS
ECHO ESCUELA TALLER
We focus on textile craft techniques. We have tools and materials to work techniques such as tufting gun, high warp tapestry, macramé, punch needle, crochet, embroidery and others. In addition, we have courses and workshops to specialize or try different techniques.

PRINTMAKING BARCELONA
Our space has machinery to work on plates/screens, a printing area with a 160x80cm Ribes press and a resin machine and tanks with mordants for different metals.

It is an entity that seeks to promote knowledge in puppet and object theater, facilitate the development of creative processes and the creation of links and interaction between artists from different disciplines, audiences, institutions, associations, independent spaces and organizations.

TURBOT DESIGN
Turbot Design are 4 professional ceramists, each one develops his personal artistic project using his own knowledge, materials and techniques. We work with lathes, plaster molds, manual modeling and with various types of low and high temperature clay.
LA MALDITA ESTAMPA
We are committed to collaborative art; we offer spaces of creation in which each of the artists contribute their knowledge, experiences, and creative processes; generating synergies as the fundamental characteristic of our joint form of work/creation. Printmaking is an artistic discipline with infinite expressive possibilities that evolves day by day.
PENTÁCULO
We are multidisciplinary, we work with noble materials such as wood, metals and stone. One of the fundamental pillars is recycling, trying to recover and assemble recycled materials to give new life to powerful and enigmatic pieces.

MIREIA Y SUS COSAS
The workshop Mireia y sus Cosas is a space shared with three people related to the arts. The main techniques are painting and photography, it also has a set area with continuous backgrounds and spotlights.

ESPAI SOUVENIR
The environment is ideal for visual artists: photographers, painters, illustrators and creatives in general. Space for artistic and cultural collaboration. We are dedicated to the research, production and presentation of creative practices, as well as to the organization of cultural events and meetings.

TALLER TERANYINA
Teranyina is a space where students of different textile techniques converge with artisanal processes: low-warp hand weaving, high-warp tapestry, natural dyes, felting, shobori, among others. They apply these ancestral techniques to the field of design craftsmanship or contemporary art according to their interests. We have a small space for the sale of small productions of fabrics and works of art.

JULIETA DENTONE CERAMIC STUDIO
The space is equipped with work tables, a ceramic laminator machine, lathe (potter’s wheel), tools and materials, kiln, and internet. I also provide advice and support to artists and designers who want to learn and work with ceramics in order to integrate it in their current artistic projects.
