Open to artists presenting a strong conceptual discourse around contemporary artistic production, developing their work in one of the following creation lines:
• Installation
• Site Specific
• Expanded Sculpture
• New Media
The selected artist must commit to participating fully in the residency, the final exhibition, and any related activities during the dates. Artist collectives may apply, and up to two artists may be selected to develop their projects simultaneously.
WHAT WE OFFER:
• Workspace with unrestricted access throughout the residency month.
• €1000 gross fee for artist's honorarium and production costs.
• Basic production materials.
• Technical and conceptual support from the R.A.R.O. Barcelona team.
• Promotion of the residency and exhibition on our website and social media.
• Technical support for exhibition setup.
HOW TO APPLY:
Send a single PDF document up to 10 MB containing the following information:
• A conceptual proposal for the project to be developed during the residency (maximum 500 words).
• Images of works or sketches to complement the conceptual proposal (maximum 10 images).
• Up to 10 images of recent, outstanding works.
• A brief CV (maximum 1 page).

IMPORTANT:
Call addressed to artists over the age of 18 residing in Catalonia.
Open to projects that are in the planning, conceptualization, or early production phase.
Works created during the residency will be owned by the artist, who retains all rights to the work’s ownership, image, and dissemination.
RARO On-Site Projects commits to providing all possible support and accompaniment during the residency and exhibition period.
The exhibition duration will be agreed upon with the selected artist(s), with a minimum of 15 days during which RARO On-Site Projects guarantees the care and preservation of the pieces.
The call does NOT include accommodation in Barcelona during the residency.
