Padua Spring Residency 2023
Viaparuta42 Art Studio is a workshop immersed in light and nature.
The studio is an open space of about 200 m that is distributed over two floors (ground floor and first floor).
There is natural light throughout the day due to the fact that, of the four walls that make up the space, two are large windows - both on the ground floor and on the first floor.
The workshop is located inside the beautiful Santa Rita park; the ground floor overlooks the park square and the first floor overlooks a large terrace where it is possible to work outdoors, on an easel or table.
The studio is shared by creatives from different disciplines: painting; graphic design and social networks; illustration, mosaic and creative writing.
Italian, English, Portuguese and Spanish are spoken.
Each professional has their own work station plus a common 'chill' area with a sofa and large table.
Viaparuta42 Art Studio is located in a strategic area of the city, equipped with all services: a stone's throw from the center of Padua (10 minutes on foot/5 minutes by bike). The train station is about 20-25 minutes on foot/10 minutes by bike.
Right outside the studio, in the immediate vicinity there is a restaurant, two bars and 4 supermarkets. Bike lanes everywhere.
Not far away are the famous embankments of the city, water channels surrounded by nature where you can practice various outdoor sports (running, cycling, canoeing), or it is nice to have an aperitif or have a picnic.
Padua is 15 minutes by train from Venice (with trains every 20 minutes); it is also very close to Bologna, Florence, Treviso, Verona and Lake Garda.
WHAT WE OFFER

24/7 access to the studio.

The resident will have theoretical and conceptual follow-up of his or her artistic process during the residency.

We offer dissemination in digital channels both social networks, as web page and local media to promote residence.

Specific materials are not included but we can offer guidance on where to buy them in Padua. At all times the artist may count with the advice of the team, for example in getting materials, accommodation, contact with institutions, etc.

The residency does NOT include accommodation.
RESIDENCY COST
We are offering two partial scholarships for international artist. The final cost of the residency is 650€
DATES AND DEADLINE
The residency will take place between April 3rd to 28th, 2023.
The open call closes on February the 28th.
